Overview

Join us for a three-day international conference exploring the complex and interrelated dynamics of forced displacement, climate change, and gender, especially within the African context. This event brings together scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and civil society actors to exchange knowledge and contribute toward sustainable social transformation.

The conference will:

  • Investigate governance regimes and resilience strategies
  • Examine gendered impacts and transformative responses
  • Showcase empirical research and policy dialogue

Sub-Themes

  • Governance regimes on migration, displacement, and climate change
  • Climate resilience, finance, and adaptation
  • Root causes and drivers of forced displacement
  • Gendered experiences of internal and cross-border migration
  • Social justice, livelihoods, and access for displaced populations

Format

  • Day 1: Policy Dialogue – National, Regional, and Global Dimensions
  • Day 2: Research Presentations – Theoretical and Empirical Approaches
  • Day 3: Project Meetings and Networking

Call for Abstracts

Prospective participants and presenters are invited to register and submit abstracts or draft manuscripts. Selected papers will be considered for publication in a special issue or edited volume.
